ATV Trails in Chapleau Ontario Canada
ATV Off-Road Enthusiast and Extreme Mountain Bikers will be in Heaven when they set out on the hundreds of miles of Chapleau ATV Trails and old abandoned roads in the area. Just imagine taking off down a Chapleau ATV Trails for an hour and finding a lake or trout stream that's hardly ever fished, if at all. Maybe finding a rocky peak to share a birds eye view with a few of the resident Bald Eagles. In Spring when the wolves are still in groups or the Fall when they are re-grouping for the winter, you can sit back for a nice lunch and hear their gentle song echo through the forest. It's pure adventure.
Middle to late September the Moose start into there matting season or better know as the Rutting Season. We like to jump on our ATV's and ride into the back country and call the moose. Quite often they will call back and come right to the area that you are calling from. We make the Cow Moose call, so it is most like that it is the Bull Moose who will call back and comes in to see whats going on. If you have never done this you will totally enjoy this experience. We also like to call the wolves as well. The wolves will not come right in but at times will circle the area that you are at. When you hear the moose or the wolves call back it is something that you will never forget and will want to do every year. No matter how many times you do hear them it is always very exciting experience. And if nothing else you will really enjoy looking into the northern sky and enjoy the quite outdoors of a fall evening.
Even though we are in a very remote wilderness area, there is still the tiny village of Chapleau about 30 minutes drive away. Being the only noticeable human settlement for 150 miles, Chapleau is a wilderness tourist town with small trading posts, shops and repair facilities if repairs were ever needed for your ATV.
